Two player strategy game set in the aftermath of WWII.  Players take on the roles of emerging superpowers USA and USSR and struggle to become the dominant global power during the period known as the cold war.  Using card based mechanics a simple game to learn but with great depth and complexity.

In the aftermath of World War II two emerging superpowers began a conflict that would span five decades and have major repercussions all around the world. A conflict not fought with tanks and soldiers but with spies, politics and economics as the two super powers via for domination of the worlds political and economic scene. Charting the conflict through the three stages of warfare and featuring a full historical guide to the major events and players in the conflict Twilight Struggle offers a historically accurate recreation of the conflict that would come to define much of modern history. Using a card driven system where players attempt to manage their events and resources to spread their influence throughout the globe whilst limiting their opponents play is based upon simple mechanics but with great scope for tactics and building towards advanced strategies to cripple your opponents efforts in a region or boost your own. The cards each represent a historical event during the cold war period and have detailed histories of all the cards in the main rule book adding insight and context into the ideas and history behind the game.A game for 2 players with an average length of around 2 hours Twilight Struggle is easy to learn but requires finesse and planning to truly master with a great amount of variety and historical background adding to the atmosphere and appeal of the game.
